Nominations for New Business of the Year, Business of the Year, and Citizen of the Year
New Business of the Year
The New Business of the Year nominee must be a chamber member during the current year and started their business within the last two (2) years. The nomineed business must have created a number of new jobs in Flora, opened a physical location in Flora and have plans in place for future expansion/or jobs creation.
Business of the Year
The Business of the Year nominee must be a chamber member during the current year and have been in business for at least one year. The nomineed business must have made a community contribution and must meet one of the four following criterias:
-Created new jobs over the last year
-Expanded the physical location(s) of the business within the city of Flora
-Has been a long time employer (longevity)
-Plans in place for future expansion and/or jobs creation
Citizen of the Year
The Citizen of the Year nominee should be an individual who, as a volunteer (not paid professional), has promoted the economic and business growth or has provided an outstanding community service to the City of Flora. The nominee, does NOT have to be an associate chamber member.
