Flora Chamber of Commerce
Why the Chamber?
Who We Are
The Flora Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 non-profit, membership-based organization that supports and advances business and community interests, as well as the quality of life in Flora and surrounding communities. The Chamber provides its member with an array of opportunities including but not limited to: networking, advertising, and workshops. Members are able to take advantage of many of these opportunities free of charge or of minimal charge as they are included with membership dues.
An additional part of the Chamber’s outreach involves the Flora community. The Chamber hosts several community events throughout the year including the Annual Golf Scramble, 4th of July Celebration, Halloween Parade, Cupcake Wars, and partners with the Visit Flora Tourism to put on Ford Town USA and the Downtown Christmas Celebration. All of these events are made possible by the generous sponsorships from our Chamber members and the City of Flora and their workers who dedicate their time to help us put these events on.
The mission of the Flora Chamber of Commerce should be two-fold:
- Presenting Flora in it’s best light to the wider world in order to promote both tourism and new commercial and industrial activity, and
- Encouragement and support of our present retail and commercial base
The purpose of the Flora Chamber of Commerce shall be to advance, develop, and improve the industrial, professional and mercantile resources and further civic and economic concerns of the City of Flora, Clay County, Illinois.
The Flora Illinois Chamber of Commerce, located at 223 W Railroad Street, boasts over 100 member businesses from Clay County. For over 60 years, the Flora Chamber of Commerce has been a driving force for the growth of area businesses in Clay and surrounding counties.
